Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an 'Announcement' and 'Networking'?

Announcements are made by the convenors for members as information items.  Members cannot start a conversation from these announcements.

The Networking page on the website gives members the opportunity to post items they think will be of interest to others, make comments and have a 'conversation'.

What is the difference between a funtivity and an activity?

Funtivity is just a play on the word Activity and there is no difference.

I have lived in the area for more than 3 years, but would still like to join your club.  Is this possible?

We understand that there are ladies who have lived in the area for many years and due to changes in their circumstances have reached a point where they would like to make new friends and social connections within their community.  Unfortunately our bylaws stipulate that a person has to have lived less than three years on the peninsula before they can apply for membership.  We would run into compliance issues if we accepted someone outside of these regulations.  There are other local organizations that help women connect with each other and we recommend you review the information under our 'Community' tab.
